Quercus robur

Height: 1,1 m

The pedunculate oak is a tall deciduous tree with a round, broad crown that can grow to a height of 30-40 m. The fruit is an acorn, elongated ovoid and brown. On a fresh acorn, darker longitudinal stripes are easily noticeable. Its fruit is a delicacy for many animals and the main late-autumn food for many species of vertebrates living in forests. They grow well in sunny spots and in well-structured soil. They need a lot of water. They can be planted as a specimen tree in larger gardens or parks.
